Welcome to Design A Better Business

|

We’ve got exciting news to share: we’re almost finished writing and designing our book. We’re really excited about how it’s turning out, and can’t wait to share it with you!

DESIGN A BETTER BUSINESS: TURN UNCERTAINTY INTO OPPORTUNITY

We are writing this book because, to us, design and business are two sides of the same gold medal. They can and must work together in order to create success. Designers bring to the table a unique perspective and a way to deal with uncertainty, turning it into a source of value rather than something to de-risk. They bring a way of thinking any business can benefit from.

In our book, we want to demystify design thinking and design, and show you how to use design as a disciplined approach to search, identify and extract value, turning uncertainty into opportunity. You can learn to become a designer. And, if you are already a designer, you can learn how to make yourself even more valuable in business.

WHAT YOU’LL FIND IN THE BOOK

We want to make it a very practical book, so it contains over 20 visual tools and combines well-known tools such as the Business Model Canvas with new, equally visual and impactful tools for vision, ideation, decision making, prototyping, validation, and storytelling. In the book, you will find case studies and real-life examples from startups, incubators, and international companies like Toyota, Adobe, and ING Bank, plus examples and personal insights of over 30 designers and thought leaders.

To help you in your own design journey, we organized the tools and skills into the Double Loop – integrating design, innovation, strategy and business in a single journey from the first spark of a new idea to the final steps of scaling a business.

DESIGN A BETTER BUSINESS

The book is called Design A Better Business: New Tools, Skills and Mindset for Strategy and Innovation. It’ll be published by Wiley and will be available in print and e-book in September 2016. Pre-order will be available soon!

WE’LL KEEP YOU IN THE LOOP!
